Worn with trousers cut to cover the top of the shoe, socks can be a secret pleasure under a quiet facade. Wear them with braces, also concealed, in a similar unexpected color. Above the waist, a light blue broadcloth shirt, navy oxford weave necktie and a navy pocket square with white dots.

Paul Stuart here in NYC does a great job with its display window in coordinating socks, ties, pocket squares. Sometimes I'll go to Alan Flusser's Custom Shop on my lunch break to ask them to sell me a pair of socks to go with my ensamble. It's so much fun, but I generally stick with gray or blue when wearing a serious gray or blue business suit for the day.

I think Flusser has the best socks in the city. He's a "must stop" when I'm in New York.
I agree. But bring your wallet. I dropped $130 once on a pair of socks and a pocket square.
What fun, cool socks. An interesting pop of color to see when one sits down!
