It must have been something in the air. Yesterday was the first time that Fall colors felt right to me this season, so I wore an old light-weight cashmere jacket, cotton drill trousers, blue royal oxford shirt, a wool necktie, paisley pocket square and saddle shoes.

Well done, that's a great look. Beautiful jacket, great cut.
Hello Will,
I've got a couple of neckties in a raw silk that look like wool (and some wool ones, too.) I've always confined my wearing of them to the days when I break out the Harris Tweed jackets. Can they be paired with other materials that are of harder finishes? (I'm in no danger of having to make the choice with a cashmere sportcoat. At least not yet...)
Regards,
Chris

I have a couple of dupioni silk neckties in solid colors, with slubs. I wear them with summer worsteds, only because I associate dupioni with spring and fall. So I would say yes.
