Business Dress

Business dress that looks good and blends in at the same time. Charcoal suit, light blue end on end shirt with white collar and cuffs, a maroon silk necktie with white houndstooth pattern, and a light blue and white silk and cotton pocket square.

On the feet, black cap toe oxfords. And then patterned hose. They may not be completely discreet but I do have a weakness for them.

You've really made me reconsider my maroon neckwear. As a matter of fact, thanks to your bowtie post, I am wearing a maroon bow today with my three-piece glen plaid.

Now if only my maroon Pantherellas hadn't given up the ghost... .

Very nice look. I must say, prior to reading your blog, I never noticed the lack of pocket squares in the world and how they make the difference. I wore a lilac silk square with a black suit to the Company Christmas Party on Saturday and noticed that I was the only one with a square! I must say, I was complimented about half a dozen times on it. Now, I'll start working on my hosiery...

turling,

Now all Will has to do is convince you to steer clear of black suits ;)

Will,

Great outfit, but I can't help thinking it would be even better with cordovan or brown calf shoes rather than black. Just my humble opinion :)

I always wear brown shoes with blue suits and have to get some wear from my black oxfords. Besides, I like the look of black shoes with dark gray suits.

Yes, Charles, he has. It was my first suit purchase in year's and I have since learned the error of my ways.
