In a comment some time ago, you noted there were a half dozen excellent bespoke tailors in the United States, but you only named Chris Despos in Chicago. Since that time, I have often wondered who the other five are. Please name them.
There are hundreds of tailors in the U.S. that will make a suit. Only a handful can make one to the best standards. Off the top of my head, in addition to Despos there's Jack Taylor in Beverly Hills and Cheo, Nino Corvato, Leonard Logsdail, Vincent Nicolosi, and William Fioravanti in Manhattan. I'm sure I'm overlooking a couple.

I would avoid Nicolosi at all costs. You will not get what you want, you will get what he wants even if it looks ridiculous.
Thanks for this information, Will. I pass by Fioravanti's shop now and again on 57th Street and have heard of Logsdail but can't say I have been to any of these places. The only tailor of any reputation I have visited has been Alan Flusser and for those who enjoy Flusser's books, I hear he is writing a new one.
Last summer I visited John Kochis, the custom tie maker on West 34th Street. I had read about him in the Robb Report. He was not there, but his assistant said I could look around while I was there but should call back for an appointment. I think I am going to give Kochis a try. Will, I know you are a Sam Hober guy, but have you had any dealings with Kochis before? Not only will this be my first dealing with Kochis, but also my first custom made tie.
