
Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, whose Caraceni double breasted suits I greatly admire, appears in public dressed in jeans and running shoes. He attempts a save with an odd jacket and a pocket square.
The shoes are not, shall we say, to my taste but the choice of square is a good one for the setting.

You know, I don't mind his outfit at all...except the shoes. You're right. The shoes must go. Being Italian and rich, surely he must own a pair of driving mocs?
I agree with the above. The shoes are the only bad thing, and perhaps the mom rise jeans. On the other hand, the sportcoat is quite beautiful and is a great example of a natural shoulder Italian style as opposed to the other natural shoulders so well described by Tony above in other posts, elsewhere.

Wouldn't a more accurate description be "gentleman rise" or "non-gigolo rise" jeans?
If I were roaming around the Big Top, with its (ahem) elephant-produced surprises on the ground, I'd shy away from wearing shoes I cared about...
