Gray Flannels and Green Socks

The skies were sunny but the temperatures reverted to wintry these past few days. And so I got another day's wear this season from the pictured pair of gray flannel trousers. The socks are to complement the ground cover. Well, perhaps not intentionally. I think they do a reasonable job of it nonetheless.

Nice job, Will. I recall a previous post where you wore a bottle green tie with your gray flannel suit. I will have to remember that combination for next Fall. I was in Brooks Brothers on Sunday (I try not to do that, really) and noticed a man wearing green socks with somewhat of a rust colored suede shoe very similar in concept to what you are doing here with your green socks and tannish shoes.

Thanks for the post.

I recall the green tie-gray flannel combination as well, and thought it very good. Works well here, too. I love the socks; what is their provenance?

Very nice, Will. This works wonderfully here. I love green and grey. For me, the combination evokes images of Bavaria and Austria. Interesting details on your brogues. Is that a "wingtip- in-flight" brogue pattern?

Is that the London Lounge Windsor shoe?

It is the London Lounge shoe, and the socks are Gallo.
