Today is a holiday in the United States and I'm using part of the time for some spring cleaning. I've set aside three suits and a half dozen pair of odd trousers for donation, reorganized the closet that I use for out of season clothes, and gone online for some new underwear. Once I choose some fabric for a couple pair of replacement pajamas I'll be ready for a nap just like Bart Simpson.
I really hate to give up those pajamas, which have reached that perfect state of softness. But when the elbows start wearing through it's got to be time.

It's actually Homer who is napping.
Will,
that's actually Homer taking a nap..
Doh!
I know how painful it is to get rid of those soft pajamas...
What will you be replacing them with? As a fanatic, I started believing that a well dressed man is well dressed even in bed, or at least breakfast in the morning in front of his family. Elegant pajamas, slippers that are attractive and a regimental robe, no?
I never gave it much thought in my 20's & 30's, but now I find nightwear can be just as fascinating in a gentleman's regular wardrobe. Just the thing after your spring cleaning...
Will, I think it's Homer whose taking the nap. ;-)
Sorry, Will. l believe that's Homer Simpson taking a nap.
You mentioned at one time you clean your suits seasonally before putting them away. Is this every fashion season (Spring/Summer, Autumn/Winter) as in your Medium Wardrobe blog, or the 4 calendar seasons? Do you have 2 seasons of suits or 4?
I think it's Homer that's napping, Will.
Hmmm...what size are you? I can think of a worthy recipient. :-)
And I think you mean Homer Simpson. Bart's too busy running around making trouble.
Hi Will,
I am also curious to know what material you use for your pajamas. I recently started wearing nightshirts and enjoy the comfort in bed and in the morning. The one's I have are from Brooks Brothers and have not worn well. It would be great to find a quality source.
Thanks!
