Any clothing you have made will arrive after the end of the season for which it is intended.
In the photo, a summer shirt jacket made of 10 ounce linen in a herringbone weave. The idea is that it provides pockets without the weight of a fully constructed jacket.
In fairness to shirtmaker Joe Hemrajani, who did his part flawlessly, I didn't order it until after warm weather had ended. But Will's Law applies nonetheless. I should be able to try it out in April.

Great looking shirt/jacket Will. Who made the fabric?

Will, I have the same experience with my tailor, but it extends to occasions, as well as seasons. I had a coat made up for a birthday. It is still in the works, some weeks after the birthday.
It looks like Guayabera, very formal Latino American shirt (if it will be white of course) The blue color is more causual.

Will - Great shirt-jacket. I'm a considerable fan of this garment living in a climate with long springs and falls. I normally have mine constructed with fewer more widely spaced and slightly larger buttons on the placket to move it a bit closer to the jacket end of the shirt-jacket scale.
Funny and true. I've taken your shirt advice and gone custom; at a very reasonable price. Looks like I'll be receiving my shirt jacket in a few days. I've found that this applies to every article of clothing and some accessories.
just in time for Palm Springs afternoons
