Just a little green for St. Patrick's Day this week. The brown paisley square left Brooks Brothers to join my wardrobe while I was an undergraduate, demonstrating that silk lasts indefinitely. Worn with green hose and dark oak punched cap oxfords.

Will,
Where was Brooks during your Penn days? Where it is now on Walnut Street?
Nice combination.
On Madison where it is now. :-)
There wasn't a store in Philadelphia then.
Ever since your first posts on green and gray, I've been working them into the wardrobe.
Great look!
I am pleased to learn someone else enjoys venerable pocket squares. My circa 1966 is still in use. An Italian silk geometric medallion print in navy, red, olive and cream.

does your jacket have darts/ if not, why?
BW
No, it does not have darts. They aren't necessary for shape.
I've always been a fan of green with gray flannel, and I especially like the choice of the grenadine solid. Nice brown vintage square, of course, but my, why not a little more umph to that blue stripe, or perhaps even a mini gingham for the grenadine?
Nice combo though.
Bob, I also like grenadine with flannel however the tie in the photo is a basketweave. And if you read ASW for a while you'll see that I am not a fan of umph. I think a man's clothing should blend into the environment from a distance and become progressively more interesting as you get closer.
Will-
I appreciate the subtly you so completely attain; I guess on second thought, I was imagining just a little deeper richer blue to set off the excellent tie. White would have been a good choice for town as well, of course.
my compliments again...
That is a very nice and sophiticated combination. Thanks for the continuing education.
who made the shirt?
