The beginning of warm weather is the time to think about clothing for autumn, and the black and white houndstooth flannel is a classic cool weather suiting that is unlikely to appear on the rack. Here it is as woven by the best mill in England in a 13/14 ounce weight for $90 a meter plus shipping from San Francisco. 4.5 meters makes a three piece suit for most men, and four meters makes jacket and trousers.

...blue end-on-end white collar/cuffs, dark red on navy single stripe repp...swiss cotton square white with blue border... tobacco suede caps...me, 1983. Sigh! Loved that suit!
Thanks for showing this Will. You are right it is great candidate for a vest.
I recently had bespoked a houndstooth sports jacket in the same fabric as in photo but now I am hesitant as to what shirt/tie combinations which may compliment it. The main difficulty is what tie? Any suggestions?
