Off Again

Photo: Marc Guyot

Off again, this time to Scotland, London and Paris, where I plan to visit a plethora of mills, tailors, shoemakers and haberdashers.

And the photo? I will be having lunch with designer Marc Guyot whose tan and white ensemble is the subject.

do hope you pop into Margaret Howell's store in London for the finest shirt still made in England. Also when in Scotland it would be rude not to pop in to see Stpehen and Alan at Lovat Mill-Thrie Estates in Hawick. Ask to see the Lovat archive and the modern 4 ply fresco. An outstanding cloth and well kept secret.

If you go to Paris please take the time to visit one a the Weston shoe shops, preferably the one avenue de Courcelles, this brand has been doing for years wonderfully beautiful and well made shoes for many years and, last but not least, every model is available in five different width.
You can also check their website, http://www.jmweston.com/index.html

I haven't been in the store in over a decade, but
still wear their slacks. Other Style Forum and
AAAC members endorse this retailer for
it's elegant, conservative high quality RTW.
I'd appreciate you comments.
Have a great trip!

Bon voyage.

Probably a wonderful jacket. However, I would move the pocket placement a bit higher. Maybe an inch or a bit more.
