When the weather is sunny but cool, think of mid-weight clothes in lighter colors. In the photo, gabardine trousers and a linen sweater combine with white bucks and the first Dry Creek white peaches of the season.
Tightly woven, gabardine wears warm in the heat and cold when the temperature is low, but comes into its own on temperate days.
And next time I will try to remember to pull my trousers back up before posing.

Sunny But Cool

Wear braces -- no need to pull up the trousers!
The peaches look good -- ever try soaking them in Amaretto and grilling them?

Liking those cream gabs Will, and admiring your bravery in wearing white bucks at a fruit market-
by the way- isn't that the dreaded Big Blue Mistake under that sea island crew?
I want to know also is that the blue mistake shirt? If so you found a use for it. Well played.
Another great outfit, perfect for the season & weather. How big are your cuffs? They look almost, but not quite, two inches high.
Speaking of blue shirts, what do you think of French blue shirts? I enjoy wearing mine with my white ducks in summer and with charcoal or navy the rest of the year, but I'd like to know your opinion, and whether or not you have any French blue shirts in your wardrobe.
I have three or four navy blue linen short sleeve shirts and one of them is in the photo. Other than those, some navy polos and a dark red gingham I own nothing as dark as french blue or darker. It's just not for me.
That includes the "mistake shirts" which will never be seen here again. Their purple overtones sent them directly to the resale shop.
The cuffs are an inch and three quarters.
The Dry Creek white peaches are too soft for grilling, and too good for soaking in anything but I will try that with some of their poor relations.
I've always thought of French blue as lighter than navy blue, that is, lighter than either the blue shirt in this picture or the infamous mistake shirts. Well, if nothing else, my French(?) blue shirts are a lighter shade.
Frustrating that we don't have words for colors as precise as words for various measurements.
A truly great outfit!
But for me wearing white or cream trousers are just to impressible for stains.
I'd very much like a RTW source for the white / cream gabs. Although I have a few trousers in the cream colors, I have none in the great gabradine. It is a very comfortable weave with great wrinkle resistance and hangs very well. Yours are hanging great, though a bit long as you suggest.
