A perfect silk scarf from Drake's awaits me at home, along with a couple MyTailor shirts in Simonnot-Godard's exquisite chambray (the stuff has a wonderful hand - it is unfortunate that it is made in such small quantities that it is essentially a gift provided by that firm to its customers). I look forward to seeing both in person.
My thanks to the guest authors who helped keep ASW alive during my soon to end hiatus. And this is as good a time as any to send the greetings of the season to all of us.

Where did you get the Simonnot-Godard chambray? Does MyTailor now offer it or did you get it directly from the company itself? I've been wanting some shirts in that stuff for a while, so any help you can provide would be great.
Feliz Navidad to all suitablewardrobe readers.
Thanks Will for keeping posting on daily basics. It is always a pleasure to read your webpage.

nice scarf but the shirt colour is really difficult to wear in my opinion. Its really a colour for dark italian types
I was referred to your site and I must say...smashing insight.
I disagree. I think they go perfectly well together. And very distinctive, I must say.
Drake's products are wonderful! I purchased a few of their ties the other day. I'll need to check out the fabrics you mention now that I am (due to your site) a "mytailor" customer.
The shirt and scarf go very well together, although I think I would choose a brighter blue. I have yet to experience Drake's. I understand the quality is amazing.

Drakes ties are great. I have bought way too many since ASW let me know they exist. The standard length is well suited for me. The ends are hand cut witha knife and the rear blade is tapered outward slightly. When tied and, as Drakes recommends, the rear balde is nearly even with the front blade, then this hand cut and sewing causes the rear blade to splay out from behind the front blade just a bit from time to time so when one opens a jacket it displays a built in sprezzatura.
That looks fantastic. You've got a really nice blog. I hope you will enjoy the weekend.
A fine scarf. I must invest in a few scarfs and ties from Drake's.
