Well, free pocket squares to those willing to do a bit of work.
We are having a bug hunt at the ASW online haberdashery. While you browse the five new neckties and the knitwear that is or soon will be on offer, buy, or pretend to buy, something and check out using any payment and shipping combination (if you are bug hunting instead of shopping just abandon your cart before paying). Report anything that does not seem to work on the site's Contact Us email form. Please try to provide enough information for us to reproduce the problem.
Note that the site now accepts credit cards, and the checkout process should be offering customers a choice of PayPal, Google Checkout and conventional Visa, Mastercard or Discover processing. U.S. customers should see free UPS Ground, and for-a-charge Second Day Air and Next Day Air shipping options. Outside the U.S. customers should see USPS Priority Mail at this time - we will be adding more options next week.
The first five people to report any particular bug get a pocket square of my choice (some of the squares will be cotton S-G and some will be silk from Drake's). Additional reports will earn an email of gratitude that is unlikely to be suitable for framing.
Thank you in advance for participating.

Hi, Will.
The whole process seemed to work fine.

And I look forward to my email, suitable for framing or no.
Hello Will,
Given what Levi said about the entire process working fine, I decided to search for more minor bugs. I went through the whole checkout process without issues, but my search was fruitfull. Hopefully you will consider this helpfull as minor as it is.
When you go in the "View Cart" section, at the bottom it says "Estimate Shipping & Tax
Zip/Postal Code: " and you can click on a "Get Rate" button. You can actually only enter a Zip code and can't get an estimate for the Postal Code. It will simply respond "5 digit zip code please".

Bug or feature?
I tried adding 2 of a red 6-fold tie to my cart, but was met with a popup that I couldn't order more than 1. Same with the black tie with white microdots. You may have meant for this to happen, Will. However, if so, a more graceful result may have been to add one to the cart, with a message that the second couldn't be added.
Love the blog and excited about the store!
Larry
Hi Will,
I found a small but potentially annoying bug for you.
1. Put a tie or something that is quantity limited in your shopping cart.
2. Go to your shopping cart as if in checkout.
3. Change the quantity to something greater than one.
4. Choose update in the "With Selected Items" dropdown and submit the form.
5. The quantity won't change, but it doesn't tell you that, either. Everywhere else you get the popup "you can't buy more than one of these."
A couple of rounds of that would be enough to make me just abandon the purchase.
Hope it helps...
Everything seems fine except:
on your Cotton Squares page, 2nd row dowm, the Green cotton Jacquard... there are no boxes for

More info.
[although this may be temporarily deliberate, I don't know].
I couldn't find the five new ties, does that count? :P
I just realized that my post never showed up..I think it has been addressed already, but on a variety of items I tried to change to quantity on, it would have a restriction of 1 only. Perhaps this is on purpose.
Carey - I think the warning does appear in your example, but instead of being a pop-up it is a line of red text above the shopping cart list.
Will - As the others have said, the only 'bug' I can find is the issue of only being able to order one of a lot of items. I realise this probably isn't actually a bug, but intentional. However it is rather a poor user-experience as you don't know that items are restricted until you try to increase them. I would suggest putting a visible note on the sections or individual products where only one item may be ordered. I would also include a link to a brief explanation of why this must be the case, as without that it simply seems like an uneccesary restriction.
Hope that helps.
Hi Jake,
I can't verify this since Will has changed things to allow more than one item to be added. The update now works properly. However, the red message appears and tells you that the quantity has been changed in your cart. The javascript scrolls the browser to ensure that the message is visible(I had five or six separate things in my basket). This definitely didn't happen before. And so I still maintain that my bug was indeed a bug. It is simply unacceptable to reject user input without loudly complaining. If the red message had scrolled into view, that would have been ok, but it didn't.
And the quantity one restriction actually made/makes sense to me. Pretty sure Will doesn't have a container full (and if he does, it's a really small container), of those handmade ties. Will, didn't you end up with seven of them total?
who were the winners. I sent an e-mail within one hour of the original post and have heard nothing.
Men who got squares have received an email from me asking for their address. Those who did not also got emails. There are a dozen responses left to process but none of them are from a Matthew.
Hi Will, my question is about pocket squares. Can I use one in my white doctor's blazer/jacket? My wife disagrees saying the pocket square is limited to formal occasions only.
Thanks!
George
