George Glasgow Jr. of G.J.Cleverley sent along these photos of elastic sided black and white spectators with the classic Cleverley square toe and faux lacing.
About $2800 ex VAT (2,100 GPB with VAT) including shoe trees. But not for the faint of heart.

Egad. Well done, but where I am if I wore those I be asked when does the band start playing or where is the rest of the capone gang.
Congratulations on the commedation!
JC,
What a pity. If you like spectators, you could get a pair to please yourself. Wear them around home, wear them to church (with a seersucker suit, or a blazer and white ducks), wear them to go to the movies. If someone says something inane to you, the best response is silence (coupled with either a "what on earth is your problem" look, or a "what gibberish are you spouting now" look, if you feel like it).
Personally, I can't wait for Memorial Day so I can go stepping out in mine.
Well said. I have a pair of EG Malvern, in chestnut and tobacco (EG calls them "Colonials"). But maybe I should take your correspondence to heart on the black and white.
