How to Arch Your Necktie

video

Today's post, on how to arch a necktie, is the second in an occasional series of videos on various aspects of dress. I am making these with deliberately informal production values so that the file sizes make for easy playback on YouTube. Admittedly, YouTube has grown increasingly capable of playing bigger files and I may need to step up my game sooner rather than later. But this way is fun.

Finally, a demo on how to create this effect. I've wondered how to do this but never bothered to invest the time to figure it out. Thanks for sharing this.

Could your next video be about how you achieved that knot with the dimple.

Much appreciated,

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, these videos are certainly priceless! Thank you for your continued lessons on dress! Bravo for continuing to evolve the content you blog. Next, iPhone 4 HD chats!

I have to say, you looked a little like the weather was getting to you. Maybe it was just those heavy lights, but the effect is not a bad one anyway; it makes you seem more relaxed/informal.

Will, your videographed tips touch very "esthèt" topics, which is the great appeal of your blog; it's about the best.

But I like tie pins, too. I wonder who has the greatest collection of tie pins and clips in the world, and what that person is like... Probably an old lady...

Wonderfull video again. This time the ending was great.

I'm liking this idea very well. I'm curious to see how this concept develops.

The bolder men among us can slip extra fabric into the top half of a tie secured by a tie bar, as well.
