This is beautiful. I'm always a little wary of showy cufflinks, because there's such a fine line between attractive and tacky, but these are definitely the right side of the line.
I think perhaps they might make for nice, if slightly unusual, cufflinks to wear with white tie.
They are beautiful cufflinks, and would make an excellent part of most any outfit, but, unlike Jake, I cannot imagine them with white or black tie.
As I understand it, white tie should always be perfect--the opposite of dégagé--with no deviations. The point of both black and white tie is to let the women shine, and the men to be elegant, sophisticated backgrounds for them.
Of course, this is just sartorial theologians debating how many angels can dance on tip of a collar pin, as most men will never wear black, much less white, tie.
In any case, thank you for sharing. I hope we'll see more wrist art in the future.

Indeed beautiful.
Not to offend, only to satisfy my urge for nitpicking and hopefully your appreciation for correct use of language, object in French is 'objet'.
Great website! I have converted to braces because of your writing.
