Lining a jacket with patterned silk scarves is something some men do once. The result is often stunning, but generally lacks an audience other than oneself. It is probably best reserved for the dinner jacket, an otherwise unadorned background for an occasional flash of color.
Men without a ready source of scarves have an alternative in the Vienna firm of BusinessPunks, which offers a series of original artwork printed on sets of ready-to-sew Bemberg lining pieces that sell to tailors for the significantly more affordable price of €195 including VAT (about $220 without VAT).

Thanks for this post and introduction to this company.
I have passed it to a clothier.
Will, since you are a bit daring, will you be trying one of the linings?
I had been thinking about something like it for a dinner jacket if I elect to go ahead with another one next year.
How flamboyant! I love it.
It's all very personal of course but I can't warm to this idea.

I was watching Boateng's "Why style Matters" and heard that Anderson & Sheppard are using Hermes scarves in their linings. Anyone else doing this?
I think this is an ideal way to modify the dinner jacket. Much better than the methods some celebs try.
