Out and about in a pair of Sloop slipons in mid-brown water buffalo and beige reversed goatskin, worn with brown and white checked socks and a tan linen suit. Above the waist, one of Michael Drake's crunchy silk knit neckties in navy blue with light blue dots, a white linen pocket square and a light blue linen shirt.

When you take these shoe/sock pictures, do you pull up the trouser leg at all? Or is this simply the amount the hem of the trouser rides up when seated? I think it is important to know how much of the sock is on display to understand its effect.
If I didn't lift the trousers a bit no-one could see the socks in a photo taken from above.
Where are the socks from?
I am not certain. Probably Marcoliani or Bresciani.
I love this picture - great color combination. BTW, To Catch A Thief was on TV this weekend and I saw C. Grant wearing no socks with his slip-ons. I didn't know that look existed before Sonny Crockett !
Very nice.
Very nice shoes. And while socks are another passion of mine I'd be tempted to wear these shoes sockless more often than not.
Must be the heat...
