Three Patterns for the Season

The more the merrier when it comes to pattern for less formal occasions. Here, a mid-weight glen check suit combines nonchalantly with a paisley patterned silk necktie from Drake's London and a Simonnot-Godard tattersall pocket square. It all works because each pattern is a different scale and the autumnal colors complement each other despite their differences.

End on end shirt by Turnbull & Asser and, below the waist, fox suede oxfords. The green cotton hose with small orange flowers remain discreetly out of sight.

It's a handsome look, Will.

It is a good outfit. But the shoes also remain out of sight!

The suit is beautiful. I wouldn't have thought how scale differences could create such a casual mood. See,you can teach an old dog new tricks.
