Transitioning to Fall

Transitioning to fall before the weather turns cool is about introducing seasonal colors while keeping the fabrics light enough to prevent sweltering. In the photo, an ivory chambray shirt is paired with a tropical weight navy suit, a white linen pocket square and a maroon, tan and green bow tie on a day with temperatures in the low 70s (perhaps 22C). The combination is one that could be deployed with a heavier suit in cooler weather.

Below the waist, brown suede oxfords of course.

A very fine look. The ivory/navy/maroon combination is one I must try.

Perhaps its just the sitting angle, but the trousers seem a tad high in the photo, as in: above the natural waist.

This, to me, can be one of the drawbacks of braces (correct me if you're not wearing any). When seated, the front of a trousers can ride up the chest since trousers designed for braces tend to fit more loosely plus there is the pull exerted by the braces, whereas a Daks-type arrangement or belted trousers is less likely to exhibit this tendency.

Love it! Very Jack Nicholson: "Just wait'll they get a load of Will..."

The tropical and chambray together provide the perfect textural interplay. Well done Will. Your regular readers may note perhaps that you've gone with the plain linen square an awfully lot recently. Are you sold so far out of the fine swiss cottons none are left for the boss? Good news and bad news, I guess.

0I like it very much. Worm/cold color's combination is perfect.

Tell us about the sunglasses. I'm still attempting to find the right sunglasses for coordinating with odd coats and for with suits.
