The best tailor's workroom in the world may well be Thomas Mahon's space in what were once the stables of Warwick Hall, an estate in the lake district of England. The two large doorways on the left have been glassed and the interior renovated. They face the River Eden, a fisherman's delight.
As places to cut and sew go, there can be few better.

I assume that the newest DB suit blogged about on Mahon's blog headed for a client in SF is for you.
Looks terrific.
I like Timothy Everest's atelier, a higgledy-piggledy georgian townhouse in Spitalfields, London - once the haunt of Hugeunot silk weavers. Nice to be measured up in a room that was in much the same industry 250 years ago. Well worth a visit.
what fantastic inspiration that setting must be. Although, I think I would have to chain myself to the cutting board or the waders and Winston would be in constant action....
Just a lovely place.
