Pictures From An Exhibition

With thanks to the fine people at Wingtip, the first ASW store trunk show was a lot of fun. A couple dozen men and more than one woman stopped by to see and touch the clothes in person and, not incidentally, get a Saphir shoe shine.

The venue being San Francisco, some visitors inevitably wore denim.

Stanley's bespoke Cleverleys warrant special mention.

And at 7PM I was able to trade in my ice water for a single malt.

There are, by the way, some extraordinary new semi-formal bow ties on the store this week as well as new supplies of Mahogany Shoe Care boxes and Simonnot-Godard shirting. Check them out.

It sounds like it was a success. As it was a first time show, I am sure there was some nervousness involved. Congratulations are in order.

Seeing the Drake's striped tie in butter, navy, and burgundy on the table, I thought this would be a good opportunity to thank you for the two ties I ordered from the ASW store some weeks ago. Both are excellent and I am looking forward to ordering some more in the future. - Toni

Will, I so wanted to come to this but was otherwise detianed in San Jose. Hope you will have another similar event in the future. Happy holidays and best wishes to you and yours.

At last a mention of denim. Jeans with a tweed jacket and decent brogues can look stylish. Those of us who don't work in formal environments, have to find some alternatives to the suit and tie which are a bit edgier than golf club casual. Or is this acrilegious to the ASW creed?

I've seen a couple mentions here of Saphir polish. However a quick google search doesn't seem to reveal much. Any more story on the stuff, and/or where to get it?

Carguy, Saphir is generally considered the best line of shoe care products in the world. Every high-end shoe maker that I can think of offers it with their shoes, and I sell it on the ASW store.
