In the photo, a silk scarf and a Belseta gilet cover a linen crewneck that is worn over a cotton polo. The gilet, or waistcoat, provides a couple of zippered pockets for cell phone and reading glasses. Below the waist, gabardine trousers, light gray cotton socks and a pair of Sloops.

There's something cool and 'off-duty' about the accompanying snap. The outfit is 'suitable' and looks good. I almost expected you to reveal you were wearing jeans (I know, I'm getting into the realms of fantasy now...)
That must have been a connection because I can't see an RJ making a transcon flight.
We here in Melbourne, Australia are particularly adept at this sort of dressing, having 6 seasons in one day. It's meant to be summer here and we went from a sunny 90F to 60F with golf ball sized hail stones in 12 hours. Makes planning the day's outfit interesting.
