Gentleman for Gentlemen

New on the store this week are autographed copies of the 2012 edition of Berhard Roetzel’s Gentleman: A Timeless Guide to Fashion. By far the most encyclopedic modern book on classic men's style, Gentleman covers everything from shaving and suits to sportswear, knitwear, and dressing gowns. A great gift for new graduates and men who are new to the world of tailored clothing generally, it is also something that gentlemen who already love classic style will enjoy for themselves. And, as with all of my autographed books, once they are gone there will be no more.
Speaking of gifts, the ASW store makes it easy to let people around you know what you would appreciate for your birthday, graduation or holiday gift. Simply sign into your account and create a shopping list for the event. Then email a link to the people who care about you. You may still receive socks and underwear instead of more exciting things but at least they will be something that you like wearing.

I think I would have preferred the word "style" over "fashion". Nevertheless, this is going on my read list.

Nice book for beginners and as a reference book.
However, for my taste it includes too much surreptitious advertising, at least the first edition.

If I may ask for a clarification: Is this a new edition (a 2nd edition, therefore), or a 2012 printing of the 2010 edition (which revised/corrected typos in the original 2009 book)?

(I too would prefer "style" over fashion: fashion is such an ugliness that it has to change every six months -- with apologies to Oscar Wilde.)

Thanks,
JCS
