Searching For Francois Pinton

Aristotle Onasis wore them. As did Cary Grant. Them being Francois Pinton sunglasses. I have a pair and want more, so I find myself back in Las Vegas at some sort of international eyewear expo. But Pinton has apparently stayed home in Paris this time.

Las Vegas has more to offer than eyewear fortunately. There is baccarat at the Bellagio, food at Michael Minna's and O, an aquatic spectacular by Cirque du Soleil.

Paris is next. The search continues.

I've got a pair of Oliver Goldsmith lookalikes which I bought because I'd long liked the glasses worn by Onassis (I didn't know they were made by Pinton). They look great....as good as the real thing... but are not ideal for driving because of the depth of the sides.

Next time you are in Paris, try maison bonnet in palais royal. They made the glasses for yves saint laurent and are most notable for their tortoise shell.
