I Don't Always Drink Beer

The sun was shining the other day and a representative had sent along a six pack of Bohemia Clásica from the Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery (the same establishment that brews Dos Equis) in Mexico. And since the time to drink beer is when the sun is shining, we did.

Bohemia beer is a full bodied lager that may be the best of the widely distributed Mexican brands. It was paired with a taupe gabardine suit, brown Garza Fina grenadine necktie, a striped shirt in some unclassifiable shade of red, an old Holland and Holland pocket square printed with pheasants and chestnut Edward Greens.

I don't always drink beer but when I do, I don't always drink Dos Equis.

Will, you are superb dressed, as always.

Are there any summer grenadine cloth you might recommend?

My tailor found only "Eskdale" from John Hardy (a bit too heavy for summer?) and "Target Grenadine" from H&S (the weight is right, but it is a bit scary to use cloth with "super" in its description. Also, H&S has a mixed repute.)

Will, this outfit is really fantastic. One of your best in recent memory, in my opinion. Yet, I would never suggest anyone starting out to use it as an example. I may have to write about it . . .

Gabardine is not really a summer cloth as it's too tightly woven. Better for spring and fall. Scabal has a 400 gram that drapes well. Both Scabal and H&S have 9 oz Super 150 but I think it likely to crease when you look at it.
