I had no idea it existed until recently. I watched Edward & Mrs. Simpson and thought is was excellent but this is a new one for me.Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03961930732125748800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4593388140454867428.post-46972240689075001932008-04-10T08:38:00.000-07:002008-04-10T08:38:00.000-07:00...and I forgot: yellow and burgundy argyll socks.......and I forgot: yellow and burgundy argyll socks.Tony Ventrescahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05376316451089107841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4593388140454867428.post-76136449517449812162008-04-10T08:37:00.000-07:002008-04-10T08:37:00.000-07:00I have a larger version of that photo in a book on...I have a larger version of that photo in a book on the Royal Family. It's worth noting that the Duke is wearing yellow cords, brown jacket with yellow overstripe, and matching shirt and tie (tie cut on the bias) made of a yellow, black, and white check pattern. Lots of yellow. Echoing John, it's outrageous and the Duke does it well.Tony Ventrescahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05376316451089107841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4593388140454867428.post-9907148134747901242008-04-10T08:08:00.000-07:002008-04-10T08:08:00.000-07:00Nice photo - I had not seen that one before. It's f...Nice photo - I had not seen that one before. It's funny, if Joe Schmo wore that, I'd agree with you. But on the Duke, with his personality, it somehow is fun and playful and ok -at least to me it is.There is an oversized book out entitled Romancing the Plaid - in that book the Duke is shown in outrageous socks and trousers and shirt yet he is able to get away with it where others would not.Your Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03961930732125748800noreply@blogger.com
