I believe it is binding rather than piping on that jacket. Piping, to me, is bias around a cord and inserted into the seam. A defining edge nonetheless-very striking.

Royal Ascot is a shabby event these days.<br /><br />Thoroughly disappointing.<br /><br />Piping on blazers, or boating blazers in general remain tip top.<br /><br />That said they are best avoided by middle aged folk attempting to relive their youth.<br /><br />May be different on your side of the water.
