It's always interesting that when you dress well or see someone well dressed that they're just wearing (more or less) what everyone else is - coat, pants, shirt and tie (in this case the hat as well, but he stands out even without it).

It's also interesting that were one of those other men to don the same outfit, it would not have the same impact.

I think what's truly coming through at the end of the day is that he's wearing an outfit that's (a) put together (i.e. some thought about the overall impact of the combination of garments); and (b) an authentic expression of his personal sense of style.
